Set Up Your SpiceRouter

Follow these steps to turn your GL-iNet Flint 2 into a fully managed SpiceRouter.

1

Plug in your router

Connect the Flint 2's WAN port (blue) to your modem or existing internet connection using an ethernet cable. Then plug in the power adapter.

2

Connect to the router's WiFi

On your phone or laptop, connect to the WiFi network starting with GL-MT6000. The password is printed on the label on the bottom of your router.

3

Open the router admin panel

In your browser, go to 192.168.8.1. Complete the initial GL-iNet setup if prompted (set an admin password). Then navigate to System → Advanced → Terminal.

4

Install SpiceRouter

In the terminal, paste this command and press Enter:

curl -sf https://api.spicerouter.com/device/bootstrap | sh

This takes about 10 seconds. You'll see "SpiceRouter installed successfully" when it's done.

5

Sign in and pair your device

Within 60 seconds, your router will appear in the SpiceRouter dashboard. Sign in and go to Settings → My Device to pair it to your account using the pairing code.
